A Brief story of the

DRUNKN'
POTTER

From the start

Just being a Boy

My name is Jeromy Boutwell, and I grew up as a small town Wisconsin boy, where I did all the typical outdoor things that boys do. Hunting, fishing, riding bike all over town and just plain having fun. Life was simple!

I was always sketching and dreaming of being an artist. I'd sit at my grandma's table and just draw away. School wasn't particularly my strongs suit, but I lived for art class! The introduction to pottery was in high school and I had no idea that later in life pottery would come back to me.

Designer

From College to Big Brands

I started my design career in college. I knew that I wanted to do something with art and creativity for the rest of my life. So, I went to Madison Area Technical college and studied Commercial Art/Graphic Design.

After graduating from college, I got a job in the publishing industry as a magazine designer. It was a great experience, but eventually I longed for a new challenge. That's when I moved to Florida and started working for some of the largest brands in the world.

Crafting the path to success as a designer was a long and winding road. From working long hours, to weathering countless setbacks, it was only through patience and persistence that I have reached this point - now to the POTTERY!

POTTERY

THE DRUNKN' POTTER HAS BEEN BORN!

These days I call Tennessee home. When I'm not busy designing, I find myself spending my time on my passion - pottery! From throwing clay to creating custom pottery designs, pottery has become an integral part of my life. It's great to have something that brings me joy and gives me a break from the daily grind. I can step away from the screen, jam some tunes, and make funtional things.

With each new piece I create, there's a thrilling anticipation of what the result will be. Despite inevitable setbacks (and there are setbacks!), it is incredibly rewarding to watch clay or graphics take shape into something unique and beautiful.

As the Drunkn' Potter, I bring joy (and sometimes a little chaos) to pottery! I embrace all aspects of the craft - even when I got a little buzz on. If you ever see me stumbling around with a clay jug, just know it's in pursuit of art!
